Development of neurotic disorders according to ISTDP; ways of understanding the mental structure of patients, determining further therapeutic procedures.
The seminar is the first step in introducing ISTDP theory and practice. First of all, it allows us to consider the circumstances of the emergence of psychological traumas, their types and consequences. It gives an opportunity to understand how destructive mechanisms arise, destroying the quality of life and built interpersonal relationships, and contributing to the emergence of psychopathological symptoms. An important part of the training concerns understanding the way developed by the creator of ISTDP, Habib Davanloo, to unblock the unconscious, and thus – gain access to basic neurotic conflicts.
The training was conducted online through an application for creating a videoconference, therefore it also includes a dialogue with participants (questions, comments, sharing personal difficulties at work). In our opinion, this constitutes the “added value” of the training.
